Blood Orange Bourbon Cusper

This drink is perfect for the cusp between winter and spring. Combining spicy winter flavors with citrus notes of the spring. A riff on a whisky sour, this drink uses varied citrus notes and sweet flavors to wish the cold away.

Ingredients

  • 1 Blood Orange
  • Half a Lime
  • 1 Shot Amaro Flora
  • 2 Shots Bourbon
  • 3 Dashes Orange Bitters
  • 5 Drops smoky bitters
  • 1 Shot simple syrup
  • 1 Egg white

Instructions

  1. Using a knife, create two garnish by carefully peeling off skin strips from the blood orange
  2. Combine egg white, juice of blood orange, juice of lime, simple syrup, bourbon, bitters, an amaro in shaker.
  3. Dry shake for 15 seconds
  4. Shake with ice for 15 seconds
  5. Double strain into two rocks glasses.
  6. Garnish with blood orange peel from step one
  7. Enjoy!
