A beautiful layered cocktail from an interesting combination of drinks. Based on the classic Whiskey Sour

New York Sour
This drink is a little more involved, you will need a shaker and strainer

Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 1 Lemon
- 1.5 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz Red Wine
- 4 oz Whiskey
Instructions
- Squeeze all the juice from the lemon into a cocktail shaker
- Crack the egg and carefully separate the yolk from the egg white
- Add the egg white to the cocktail, discard the yolk and shell
- Add the simple syrup and whiskey to the shaker
- Close the shaker and perform a shake with no ice ( Dry Shake ) for 20 seconds, this froths up the egg white
- Open the shaker and add ice
- Shake again for 20 seconds
- Strain into two small glasses
- Take a spoon an place it upside down such that the edges of the spoon are below the surface of the drink but the center of the spoon is above it
- Carefully add 1 oz of wine to the top of the spoon
- Repeat steps 9 and 10 for the other drink
- Enjoy
